Study on Relocations
Military Family Services (MFS) and Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) are conducting a research study called “Understanding the Needs and Processes of Canadian Armed Forces Families during Relocations” to inform the development of a Comprehensive Military Family Plan. The objective of this research is to understand the needs of CAF members and their families during the planning process of geographic relocation in response to postings, in particular with respect to unique stressors, transition needs, resilience and need/access/use of support resources.
We are looking for CAF Regular Force Members and/or their spouses who have relocated within the past 5 years due to a military posting instruction to participate in this research study.
This research will be conducted through an online survey and is estimated to take 30 minutes. This research has been approved by the DGMPRA Social Science Research Review Board (SSRRB) in accordance with DAOD 5062-0 and 5062-1 and the SSRRB approval # is 1730/17F.
Participants do not have to answer any questions that you do not wish to. The information provided will be summarized, in anonymous format, in the body of the final report. At no time will any specific comments be attributed to an individual and all source documentation will be kept strictly confidential. Research findings will be shared with CFMWS and MFS and used to develop the Comprehensive Military Family Plan.
